A classic story amongst Massage Therapists & Body Workers alike, I was introduced to massage after experiencing whiplash.
After my first massage in late 1992, it was no more than two hours later that I was walking and turning my head with ease. I knew right then and there, this was something I wanted to learn much more about. In 1993, I attended the Boulder College of Massage Therapy. I have been practicing massage and continuing my education ever since. (Including multiple modality trainings, a Wellness Coaching Certification from the Institute for Change Research and a Yoga Teacher Training Certification from Kripalu.)
Each year my practice becomes richer and fuller. My understanding and facination of the body seems to grow in equal proportions. What I hope to share with all my clients is first and foremost, the body is much more intelligent than we realize. Runner-up, if we learn how to slow down and listen to the bodies intelligence, we can experience true healing.
Massage, meditation and yoga to name a few are excellent ways to slow down and begin to hear what are bodies, minds and hearts are asking for.
running, cooking, writing, biking, meditation, snowboarding, rock climbing, massage (both giving and recieving :) and relaxing any number of ways. come to think of it, i love being outdoors hiking, playing with my dog. when i am indoors, i equally enjoy yoga, i love painting, carpentry projects, visiting with family and friends and a good book.
